BEING A MOTHER…

After 17 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, ‘I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.’

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been alone for 20 years, but the demands of my work and my two boys had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.

‘What’s wrong, aren’t you well,’ she asked?

My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

‘I thought it would be pleasant to spend some time with you,’ I responded. ‘Just the two of us.’ She thought about it for a moment, and then said, ‘I would like that very much.’

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous
about our date. She waited in the door. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last birthday on November 19th.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel’s. ‘I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,’ she said, as she got into that new white van. ‘They can’t wait to hear about our date’.

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she was the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large prints. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. ‘It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,’ she said. ‘Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favor,’ I responded. (more…)

For quite some time, we aren’t gather together..
I mean four groups gathered together,
i believe that this time gathering, we getting know each other better, not only me but others people too.
Especially -names- -vision/mission- -study- -ages- -occupation- and lalalalalala..
of course lo, I’m not asked by anyone.. coz they know who i am already.. HIak Hiak!!

This time gathering, is at my mum’s house, thanks for giving this chance to welcome you guys anywhere but my house are still in renovation so the out looking is not so really nice. Thanks for them, for not complaining coz if they complain i will sure ask them to open their house la.. welcome us to go ‘your’ (not specified) house!!!

Guess what, sometimes I really afraid of sitting beside her while in the prayer meeting…
I never said it out before lar, this is what i keep inside my heart for so long..
She always so concentrate while praying and her voice is loud, sharp and melody so chun of course others do, but u noe la..
and sometimes me ar, I dunno i shud say my voice is slight or what…
I just can’t hear my prayer sometimes.. hahahaha and feel so pressure coz every time when she praise the Lord,

Really call me beh ta han.. So proud of her..Of course not the MJ’s white la…
Coz God really use her to teach us and lead us a lot of things,
our group experience something that we never experience before from other groups.
I din say that other groups no good or what.. Just from time to time, God will use different people to bring you up..

Sorry for not updating my personal post recently!
I really have a lot of things wanna share here, just that I find no time to post!
Haha, coz most of my post are long long de. and consist a lot of pictures, so it took me days for adjusting the colors.

Singing Competition is over, and i have things to share with you guys too, but before the competition i gotta share the food festival that held in Kuching every year and in the months’ eight!
No different for this year, hot day, a lot of food but dunno which one to eat, the ratio of the crowd are getting smaller and smaller comparing to past year.
We enjoy a lot also, thought always the same!

We actually say each person pay RM10, but we over-spent for what we had.
Seems nothing there yet we spent RM80 for THIS.

Its antioxidant properties have been linked to preventing blood clots and preventing cancer but now scientists say red wine has another health benefit – fighting inflammation.
Drink blocks two key proteins in the body to prevent inflammation, a chief cause of chronic disease.
Red wine contains a powerful antioxidant, resveratrol, which has already been shown to prevent blood clots and combat cancer.
Scientists studied the effects of resveratrol on two groups of mice exposed to a strong inflammatory agent.
Without pre-treatment with resveratrol, the mice developed a serious reaction similar to sepsis in humans, which can lead to multiple organ failure and death.
Those given resveratrol were protected from inflammation.
Sepsis is a body-wide inflammatory disorder in which the immune system goes into overdrive in response to an infection.
‘Moreover, many survivors of sepsis develop a very low quality of life due to the damage that inflammation causes to several internal organs. The ultimate goal of our study was to identify a potential novel therapy to help in the treatment of strong acute inflammatory diseases.’
When the researchers examined the mice they discovered how resveratrol inhibited inflammation. The plant chemical delivered a double punch, preventing the creation of two enzymes known to trigger an inflammatory response, sphingosine kinase and phospholipase D.
The findings are reported in the FASEB Journal, published by the Federation of the American Societies for Experimental Biology.
Harnessing the power of resveratrol could provide a new treatment for inflammatory diseases or lead to the development of even more effective drugs, say the scientists.
Resveratrol is found naturally in the skin of grapes, and its levels in wine vary. It is much more abundant in red than white wine.
Last year an Australian doctor, Philip Norrie, claimed to have created the ‘healthiest wine in the world’ by producing a red wine containing 100 times the normal amount of resveratrol.
Dr Gerald Weissmann, editor-in-chief of the FASEB Journal, said: ‘The therapeutic potential of red wine has been bottled up for thousands of years, and now that scientists have uncorked its secrets, they find that studies of how resveratrol works can lead to new treatments for life-threatening inflammation.’

Very Shocking…. .

This is a real story of a young college girl who passed away last month in Penang. Her name was Ai Ling. She was hit by a truck.
She was working in a call center. She had a boy friend named Tony.
Both of them were true lovers. They always talked on the phone. She used to be never found without her handphone.

In fact she also changed her network from Maxis to Digi, so that both of them can be on the same network, and save on the cost. Even when Tony left overseas to finish his masters, they constantly kept in touch.
She used to spend half of the day talking with Tony.
Ai Ling’s family knew about their relationship.. Tony was very close to Ai Ling’s family as well. (Just
imagine their love) . Before she passed away she always told her friends ‘If I pass away please burn me with my handphone’ she also said the same thing to her parents.

After her death, people cudnt carry her body, A lot of them tried to do so, but still cant everybody that had tried to carry the body, the results were the same.

Eventually, they called a person known to one of their neighbours, who can speak with the soul of dead person and who was a friend of her father.
He took a stick and started speaking to himself slowly.

After a few minutes, he said ‘this girl misses something here.’ Then her friends told that person about her intentions to burn her with her phone.
He then opened the grave box and place her phone and sim card inside the casket. After that they tried to carry the body. It was then moved easily and they then carried her into the van.

All of us were shocked. Ai Ling’s parents did not inform Tony that Ai Ling had passed away as they’re waiting for him to come home after his graduation..

After 2 weeks Tony returned and called Ai Ling’s mom…….
Tony:….’Aunty, I’m coming home today. Cook something nice for me. Don’t tell Ai Ling that I’m coming home today,
I wanna surprise her.’
Her mother replied….. ‘come home first, I wanna tell you something very important.’

After he came, they told him the truth about Ai Ling.
Tony thinks that they were playing a fool. He was laughing and said ‘don’t try to fool me – tell Ai Ling to come out, i have a gift for her… Please stop this nonsense’.
Then they show him the original death certificate to him. They gave him proof to make him believe. (Tony started to sweat) He said… ‘Its not true. We spoke yesterday.. She still calls me.
Tony was shaking.

Suddenly, Tony’s phone rang. ’see this is from Ai Ling, see this….’ he showed the phone to Ai Ling’s family. all of them told him to answer. he talked using the loudspeaker mode.
All of them heard his conversation. It is the actual voice of Ai Ling then there is no way others could use her sim card since it is nailed inside the grave box!

They were so shocked
and asked for the same person’s (who can speak with the soul of dead persons) help again. He brought his master to solve this matter.
He and his master worked for 5 hours. Then they discovered one thing which really shocked them….
